Terms of Service

Welcome to Real World Careers. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our platform and services operated by Advanced Learning Academy LLC. By accessing or using Real World Careers, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, purchasing Career Fit, Career Fit Professional, or an organization seat package, or using any feature of Real World Careers, you represent that:

• You are at least 16 years of age
• If you are under 18, a parent, guardian, or authorized school or program must purchase and consent on your behalf
• Schools and programs that buy seats are responsible for any student-data notices their district requires
• You have the legal capacity, or purchaser authority, to enter into this agreement
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• All information you provide is accurate and truthful

2. Service Description

Real World Careers (Advanced Learning Academy LLC) provides:

• Career Fit assessment: Timed 50-question work-relevant assessment across six domains (composite maximum 110)
• Career matching: Domain-profile career directions (6 matches on Career Fit; unlimited on Professional)
• Job tools: Job-tool access for three (3) years after purchase under current consumer offer terms
• Credential path: Candidate-controlled credential and verification path for employers you authorize
• Organization seats: Employer and federal seat packages for multi-candidate delivery (separate pricing)

Real World Careers is educational and workforce decision-support. It is not a medical exam, IQ classification, employment decision, or guarantee of hire, earnings, or placement.

3. Consumer packages and pricing

Current public consumer packages (one-time USD payments via Stripe):

Career Fit — $99

• Assessment: 50 questions · six domain scores · composite max 110
• Matches: 6 career matches
• Access: 3 years of included job-tool access
• Credential path: Included

Career Fit Professional — $199

• Assessment: Same 50-question Career Fit assessment (max 110)
• Matches: Unlimited career matches and expanded guidance
• Access: 3 years of included job-tool access
• Credential path: Fuller employer verify pack

Retired / not sold on this site

• Legacy RWIQ upgrade paths, standalone Job Radar SKU, and a public $49 refresh/retest SKU are not currently sold.
• Do not rely on older marketing that referenced 100-question retests or 12-month-only consumer access for current purchases.

Organization seats (summary)

Employer and federal buyers use the published seat ladder (Pilot $750, Package $3,000, Team $7,500, Scale $14,400, Enterprise $22,500 for 300 delivered). Extra seats follow the published packages on the employers page and the seat calculator. Seats are licensed to the purchasing organization only. They are not transferable, resold, or pooled across unrelated entities. Veteran double extras apply after ID.me or DD-214 / VA letter on the same purchase. Full inclusions are listed at purchase.

4. Career Fit Assessment

Your purchase includes one Career Fit assessment under the package you bought:

• The assessment is 50 questions (timed work-relevant tasks)
• Results measure six work-relevant domains; composite maximum score is 110
• You must complete the assessment to unlock your full report path and package job tools
• Job-tool access lasts three years from purchase under current consumer terms
• Public free preview of assessment content (if available) is not a paid entitlement and does not create an employer-verifiable credential

Assessment Integrity: You agree to complete the assessment honestly and without assistance. Results obtained through dishonest means may result in account termination without refund.

5. Refund Policy

One 7-day consumer refund rule

Career Fit ($99) and Career Fit Professional ($199) can be refunded in full when all of the following are true:

• You email team@advancedlearning.academy within 7 days of purchase, with your order number
• You have opened 5 or fewer job listings

Completing the assessment does not void the refund. Generating a credential does not void the refund. Opening a 6th job listing ends refund eligibility. Integrity violations void the refund. After 7 days there is no refund.

Employer and federal seat purchases follow the terms stated at purchase. Unused seats are not automatically refundable after delivery unless the purchase agreement says otherwise.

To request a refund: email team@advancedlearning.academy within 7 days with your order number. Refunds return to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

6. User Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information

Account Sharing: Your account is for personal use only. Sharing login credentials or transferring access to others is prohibited and may result in account termination.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Real World Careers to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from our platform using automated means
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our algorithms
• Share or resell access to other users
• Submit false or misleading information
• Interfere with the platform's operation or security
• Use the service for any fraudulent or illegal purpose
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation

8. Job Listings Disclaimer

Third-Party Content: Job listings are aggregated from external sources (USAJOBS, Jooble, CareerJet, and Adzuna). Direct Openings are employer-submitted through Real World Careers. We do not:

• Guarantee the accuracy, availability, or legitimacy of job postings
• Control hiring decisions or employment outcomes
• Represent employers or endorse specific companies
• Guarantee interviews, offers, or employment

Due Diligence: Always research employers independently before applying. Report suspicious listings to [email protected]

9. Matching accuracy and decision support

Career matching uses work-relevant domain scores and occupational research. It is decision support, not a guarantee:

• Match scores and rankings are predictive guidance, not guaranteed outcomes
• Cognitive and fit signals are one factor among many in job success
• Results should be used as guidance, not absolute determinations
• Individual results vary based on assessment performance and context

No Employment Guarantee: Real World Careers does not guarantee employment, interviews, job offers, or specific salary outcomes.

10. Credentials and verification

Career Fit and Professional purchases include a credential path:

• Only purchased, server-issued credentials are intended for employer verification
• Browser-local session codes and demo codes (including RWC-DEMO-2026) are not production verification records
• Employers verify only codes you choose to share
• Credentials cannot be transferred or resold
• We do not guarantee that employers will use or accept credentials
• Misrepresenting credential information may result in account termination

11. Intellectual Property

All content, algorithms, and materials on Real World Careers are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws:

• Career Fit scoring and six-domain profile: Proprietary assessment method owned by Advanced Learning Academy LLC
• Real World Careers: Trademark of Advanced Learning Academy LLC
• Platform Content: Designs, text, graphics, logos owned by us or licensors

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

12. Access duration (consumer)

Career Fit ($99) and Professional ($199)

Included job-tool access ends three (3) years after purchase under current offer terms. No automatic renewal. You must repurchase to continue job-tool access after expiration.

Assessment results and credential history may remain available for verification display under product rules after job-tool access expires; that is not a guarantee of indefinite platform features.

Grace Period: We may provide a short grace period after expiration to renew without losing assessment history — contact support if needed.

13. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in fraudulent activity
• You abuse our platform or support resources
• You share your account with others
• We detect suspicious or automated activity

No Refund: Terminations for Terms violations do not qualify for refunds.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Real World Careers is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service
• We are not responsible for third-party job listings or employer actions
• We do not guarantee platform availability or error-free operation

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Advanced Learning Academy LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of Real World Careers
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any misrepresentation of your credentials to employers

16. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Binding Arbitration: Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, not in court.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

17. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective:

• Immediately for new users
• 30 days after notification for existing users

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with material changes, stop using the service. These are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Consumer refunds remain limited to the 7-day rule in Section 5 and are not prorated after that window.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Advanced Learning Academy LLC regarding your use of Real World Careers.
